I started off December in what I strongly feared a dumb way – trying out my first chemical peel (from my dermatologist). Not that I regretted trying, just that I regretted trying it in the middle of the busiest month of the year My face looked a little lot scary for close to 72 hours. But I’m happy to report it was a success – I got the peel on a Monday and by that Friday am I was back to normal!

Josh and I hosted our very first big Christmas party this past weekend and it was so much fun! We had a huge turn out and danced all night. I got my friends from Ooh Events and Polished to help with the bar set up (turned out beautiful), hired Peprolls to bring their food cart tent for late night fuel, and played all my favorites on Pandora.

Somewhere between the beginning and the end of the party the police showed up twice and two of my friends jumped on our holiday dressed swan float in the pool (and they may not like that I’m posting this picture but they shouldn’t have sent it to me).

I wore the red Kate Spade flare dress on the right and felt festive playing hostess. The next night I wore the black Kate Spade feather tunic to another Christmas party! And of course the ornament clutch.

A little over a month ago Lilly said she needed a new puffy vest because her old one was too small. I was pumped to find this cute one at Old Navy for $15!

CEP2265

It’s perfect to throw over tees or sweaters and she still feels free to move.

That cute quilted top she’s wearing underneath is also Old Navy and is the softest thing she owns.

And metallic oxfords because how could I not? Ridiculously cute on a tiny person.

We are in the Christmas spirit over here :) If any of you are like me and are still working on your shopping lists Old Navy has some fun gifts like this plaid scarf, this hi low sweater, and this quilted vest for women!

There is just something special about the holidays that makes me want to go above and beyond to make sure that Lilly and Fletch are experiencing as much of the Christmas magic as they can. It’s all about the sweet moments and the memories made, right? Each year I try to make sure that we add some special ornaments to the tree so that we have a collection that makes our family tree feel like ours.

This year a friend at Hallmark asked me if we would like to try one of their new Handmade Hallmark ornament kits! It’s pretty much the perfect after school activity and both of my kids loved it!

IMG_4205

I’m not exactly a “crafty mom” like some of my friends, but this kit is straight up my alley because it comes with everything needed and is not overly complicated.

For the picture ornaments I let the kids choose which pictures of themselves they wanted to use. I guess they were feeling nostalgic because they both chose pictures of when they were younger. Sort of sweet :) I’m always telling them that I don’t want them to grow up.

We’re ready for Christmas season over here (I say season b/c I haven’t begun much of my shopping). It’s just so much fun with the kids – every morning they’re excited to come downstairs and find Buddy our Elf, turn on all the Christmas lights, get the music going, and do their Advent calendars grandma made for them. Just pure happiness and excitement.

IMG_3798

One thing that I have actually ordered for the kids though is more of these color in thank you cards! They’re obsessed with them and have already used them all. Shockingly (sarcasm) there is very little that my kids need so I’m excited to get them more of these :) And by the way right now you can take 40% off everything over there at Tiny Prints + free shipping with code “BESTSALE40FS”!

As y’all know for Thanksgiving we went to Palmetto Bluff (favorite place) with Josh’s parents, here are some more pictures!

Random since you can barely see it, but the stripe shirt I’m wearing in the photo below is one of my most favorite things to throw on in the morning.

My Cuyana leather laptop sleeve – I like to carry my computer in my purse when I travel so this helps organize that and protect it. They also make an iPad sleeve too. Sorta brilliant. And beautiful. Below that is my new Dash & Albert bedroom rug!

This past weekend was such a fun and busy one with many Garden & Gun Jubilee events, a Christmas party, and dinner with friends.
