Good things come to those who wait patiently. I have begged Van Jean’s owner, Melissa Blanchard, to take her incredibly chic SC boutique online for years (for over 2 years, to be exact).

Well that up there is my victory stance because she went and did it. I’m thrilled to introduce you all to a southern style mainstay, Van Jean!

And what is in this gorgeous shop you might be wondering? Many of your favorite brands – think Dannijo, Phillip Lim, Tucker, Tibi… It goes on and on and on.

This Suno dress that I’m wearing is freaking amazing. Ah-freaking-mazing. I have been eyeing this exact acid rose brocade from Suno’s spring collection, but hadn’t seen this dress anywhere. Van Jean had it!

And these Loeffler Randall wedges are the greatest little summer shoe – I love the leopard insole! I wore these at the Summit last week and got compliment after compliment.

This is me listening to all my shoe compliments. No, just kidding. This is me on my front porch. :)

Please welcome Van Jean into your list of shopping sites! Melissa’s carefully curated collection of designer pieces will knock your socks off! Really. And if you create a pinterest board around Van Jean finds then you just might win a $500 gift card.

Good luck!!

Random and disjointed thoughts today, y’all…

I might die if these french tassel window panels don’t happen over here. And to be specific, by over here i mean all over my house.

I love them by themselves, but I get reaaally excited and flustered picturing them layered inside of other drapes. Where the tassel goodness peeks out at you. I know.

My kids are really picky eaters. There’s pretty much never a meal where all four of us eat the same thing. I need to put my foot down.

Excited doesn’t describe my feelings over the new Gatsby movie. I’ve had a leo crush since Romeo & Juliet. This movie will be bomb.

Charlotte Olympia’s new zodiac capsule collection flats are pretty much everything. A beautiful special shoe that if taken care of could last you a lifetime. Wouldn’t that be fun?
I mean, I really love every single one. I’m a pisces (who’s a fellow fish?) and think that pair is pretty much delighful. Check out your sign here:

I don’t know if it’s the mom in me or what, but I totally dig easy, comfortable clothes. These are the type of pieces that i grab for time and time again. I love this relaxed Madewell shift dress because I can throw it on during the day with a pair of chic flats (like these) or just as easily dress it up with heels at night. It just skims over me so I sort of feel like I’m in pajamas.

See, I’m so relaxed that I make silly faces.

All buttoned up or left open like seen here, it’s a versatile goodie. Shifty tunic dress- check! I really love the bright pink color, too, currently featured on Madewell’s homepage.

I’ve been outside with my kids today thanks to sunny, 75 degree weather. Shorts season is upon us. Which by the way is way comfier than skinny jeans. I like my shorts loose and breezy. All agreed here?

I popped those black scallop lace shorts into my shopping cart this morning. Can’t wait for them to arrive so I can dress them up for night! Many of the pairs above are from Gap who is currently running their 30% off online promo.

Also, be sure to check out my all time favorite chino shorts and these crazy cute watercolor shorts, too.

I’m teaming up with kate spade new york for another awesome event coming up this Saturday! I really hope to see all you local readers there. Come take advantage of the 20% off discount while shopping for mom (or yourself).

I stopped in yesterday to check out the gorgeous new collection and to get dressed for the event… I’m such a dork in a changing room with a cell phone, y’all.

Like. really dorky. Which outfit do you think I picked? Come see this Saturday, May 11th from 1 – 3 at the kate spade new york store on King Street.

When I think of motherhood one of the very first images that comes to mind is the family meal. Sitting around a big table with some home cooking just brings out the warm and fuzzies for me. Such pride is taken with serving recipes that are handed down through the family (like my granny’s chicken salad and my mom’s macaroni and cheese). It really is what family is made up of, you know?

What a treat it would be for your momma to have the tables turned (literally!) and sit her down to a beautifully presented Mother’s Day brunch.

And wouldn’t it be even better if one of those beautiful pieces on the table was a memento gift for mom to keep? A sweet reminder that would look pretty on her shelf and could also be used time and time again (for you know, when she’s back to cooking for you!).

And about that Otte dress… I saw Sally wearing it (the black color way) in Dallas and have been smitten smitten smitten ever since. She swears it’s the best dress ever and I believe what Sally says. It comes in this pretty blue, fuchsia, black, and white. You do have to look good and be comfortable at the brunch :)

I, of course, want nothing for Mother’s Day. But if my hands were tied behind my back and I absolutely had to chose something I would have to say that the loomed palmae food cover is pretty much tops in my book. Isn’t it incredible?

Now, what to serve…
