Good Monday morning. Here’s another random Life Lately post…

I’ve moved one of my ladders to our mudroom entry and it now showcases some of my favorite throws.

Oysters and fried yumminess with girlfriends at Leons.

This guy. This shirt.

My friend Mandy sent over the cutest summer surprise from her fun shop, Waiting on Martha. Josh and I have been playing the roll up backgammon game (the other side is checkers) a lot.

Loving this piece by my new friend and Charleston artist, Raven Roxanne. I snapped this when I visited Redux last week.

Black and white pumps. I nearly bought them a couple of weeks ago. Couldn’t stop thinking about them, so I went back for them. So excited about these. I feel like they’ll be a pair that will be cool in 20 years, too. A great shape with other color options, too.

Flowers for a friend.

Lilly’s ridiculously cute bathroom vanity that I’ll probably always be envious of. When we remodeled our house a couple of years ago I had it in my head that this was what I wanted for Lil. It didn’t exist, so we found a metal vanity base, had our painters lacquer it this pink, and then had a marble top made for it.

We had a Folly day with our friends Adam & Anna while they stayed out there last week. Was fun to visit that side of Charleston that I rarely get over to.

Really loving the Goldbug Line at Croghan’s downtown. Designed by Charleston’s (and Croghan’s own) Mariana Hay.

Lounging in these pants with this Biscuit bedding.

Pretty Charleston walk with my friend Olivia.

On Thursday Josh and I headed to Hilton Head. He had a work conference and I tagged along. We ended up cutting the trip short and came home Friday night, but it was a nice little getaway.

Some of my beach things, this basket, this bikini, these sunglasses, and some sunscreen.

IMG_2379

On our drive home we stopped in at the Carolina Cider Co. I always stop when I’m on 17, it’s the cutest.

And so we had pie for breakfast this weekend…

Last week Lilly, Fletcher and I spent the morning downtown getting hair cuts, donuts, and visiting the Children’s Museum. Lilly wore her new Old Navy white sundress because she likes the way it poofs out when she twirls. And well, you just gotta twirl when you’re downtown.

This is now our second pair of Old Navy’s glittery sandals! Lilly’s a big fan because she can put them on quickly (I like that too) and they stay on her feet easily. Of course, they sparkle and come in different colors, too.

She takes fish faces seriously. Shop Old Navy’s cute collection right here. I really love this tiered lace white dress, too.

Our family has been busy enjoying summer. I can’t believe it’s already near August. I mean!! Where did it go? So I thought I’d share another life lately post. This isn’t even close to a complete picture, but here are a few snaps on my phone in random order.

My friend Mackenzie sent over some pretty new office supplies from her Design Darling shop. I especially love these periwinkle pens, the ksny planners, and that cute foil print.

In love with my Ladies at the Beach print.

Y’all know I’m a long time devoted fan of Callie’s Biscuits. Well they opened up a restaurant downtown, called Little Hot Biscuit, and it’s amazing.

IMG_1467

My kids are obsessed (beyond obsessed) with their Chomp Stix. If you have kids I can’t recommend them enough.

IMG_1519

Working on a little project for Southern Living and here are a couple of sneak peeks!

Some pretty Charleston scenes…

The kids doing what they do best, jumping. I need to replace those glass toppers on the coffee tables. Thinking maybe some square trays would be good.

IMG_1583

My friend Sidney’s shop Eclectic Charleston looking gorgeous as always.

IMG_1594

Some pool time with the kids.

IMG_1605

I stopped by the Troubadour showroom for their 50% off sale. Crazy good deals – online too! Use “Spring50” at checkout.

Flowers for a friend beautifully designed by Out Of Hand.

IMG_1629

I found a look alike to these sandals by Steve Madden. 3 color options.

IMG_1663

Loving these glasses and pitcher that I found at Open Door Shop.

IMG_1666

The kids got their hair cut last week. Lilly loves to go downtown and do this, it’s so sweet. Afterwards we went for donuts, to the museum, and then to Taco Boy for lunch.

IMG_1733

Two weekends ago Josh and I went to Union Provisions with some friends. It’s beautiful inside. I didn’t have anything that blew me away but I did enjoy everything I ate. It’s tapas style. Def worth stopping in though, I think lunch would be great with all the light pouring in.

I co-hosted a baby shower last night for a good friend who’s having a boy. I wore this Steven Alan dress, very similar one right here on sale for $70. Also, similar ladder right here. I have two of these in my house and love them for throws, towels…

Happy Monday!

Earlier this month the kids and I drove down to Tybee Island (right outside of Savannah, GA) to visit with our friend Meredith and her family at her family’s beach house. Gray and her family were there, too, and we had such a nice time. We did this last summer as well (see the pictures from that trip in this post) and I can only hope we get to do it again next year. It’s a laid back sort of place and Meredith’s beach house is over 100 years old and more lovely than you can imagine. Most of it is not air conditioned, but I kind of like the charm of that (of course I say that now as I sit in the comfort of my kitchen in my air conditioned home..). Regardless, the kids had a blast. Here are some of the photos that Gray managed to snap along the way.

The kids loved exploring that big old house and we loved watching them. Thanks for the little getaway Meredith!

PS, Lilly’s romper is currently on sale for $14.

So I just got back to town last night and saw the July Land of Nod issue. So freaking good that I can’t help but share.

Crazy amazing, right? Oversaturated rugs, campaign dressers, everything. Shop all the new Land of Nod arrivals here. Also, next month’s issue will have Jane Pope’s makeover that I helped design! So excited for that to hit mailboxes.

My life according to instagram… So I always feel torn on whether or not to do these posts, but I have no idea if y’all follow my instagram or not?! And these posts usually get a good response when I do them… If you hate it (or love it) please speak up.

Yesterday I took over Glitter Guide’s feed sharing some of my favorite things about Charleston! So much fun. Here’s what else is new.

My new art by Sally! I swear one of these days I’ll get it all up on my walls. What the heck is my deal anyway, right now they’re all leaning here and there in my house.

The prettiest flowers are blooming in Charleston right now.

My favorite pair of kicks! Rug, too.

IMG_0736

Stopped into Hampden and fell in love with the stripey bags.

IMG_0755

I admit I might have a problem with umbrellas but I just couldn’t pass this baby up. It was on sale! And see, Lilly likes it. At least I didn’t buy it in every color.

Pretty new maxi dress for summer.
